About

Provided by GLNS

GLNS' M&A practice is characterised by a broad spectrum of transactions: The lawyers advise companies on strategic M&A transactions as well as private equity and venture capital investors on investment acquisitions or founders on sales. Nearly 50% of the client base of GLNS is international.

A particular highlight in 2021 was the public takeover of the long-standing GLNS client zooplus AG. After a spectacular bidding war, the two rivals Hellman & Friedman allied and completed the delisting of the target after a successful joint takeover. With a volume of 3.6 billion euros, this deal is one of the ten largest deals in the German market in 2021.

Also of particular note was the advice to long-standing client FSN Capital and its portfolio company ecovium on the acquisition of the Greek Mantis Group. This transaction played out in multiple jurisdictions and once again underlines how well GLNS' international network of partner law firms works. GLNS took on the role of lead counsel on this transaction.

Another recent highlight was the sale of the smile eyes group. This mandate once again underlines that GLNS is increasingly active at the upper end of the mid-cap transaction market.

At GLNS, clients benefit from the close integration of the various specialist areas within the firm: our lawyers not only advise on transactional and corporate law issues, but can also cover the financing and tax aspects of a deal at the same time.
