Dentons’ Insurance team in Paris  includes a team of multilingual lawyers, led by two high-profile partners, Séverine Hotellier and Frédérique de La Chapelle, assisted by 4 associates. It allows Dentons to be one of the few international firm in Paris having a complete activity in insurance and reinsurance from insurance litigation to regulatory and transactional insurance. 

All areas of insurance law and reinsurance are covered by the department, including regulatory and transactional work, review and drafting of insurance policies; coverage analysis; distribution of insurance products, review of insurance products and distribution schemes; disputes re Insurance coverage and industrial risks. They also assist in non-contentious (regulatory, transactional, review of insurance programs, claims management) or contentious matters before civil or administrative courts and institutional or ad hoc arbitral tribunals in the context of major claims in France or in other jurisdictions.

The team works on daily basis with insurance companies to assist them with their international expansion and programs, master policies, reinsurance scheme with fronting companies, to ensure they can expand internationally in compliance with the regulatory requirements of their home state and of the local state. The team also assists clients on transactional insurance (W&I, contingent insurance, tax insurance etc.).
