Our tax practice assists Norwegian and multinational companies in connection with acquisitions and restructurings. We have worked on several of the largest transactions in Norway in the last years, and are regularly instructed by large international companies in cross-border transactions.

Our tax lawyers have close to 40 years of experience from being partners in PricewaterhouseCoopers, which is unique among the full-service law firms. In addition they have substantial in-house industry experience. 

Our tax department is on a regular basis retained by leading international law firms. 

We regularly advice on a broad range of tax structuring and transfer pricing matters, for Norwegian multinationals investing abroad and foreign companies investing in Norway. We work closely both with the our transaction teams, including tax due diligence, as well as our banking and finance teams and law firms in other countries. Regulation of tax in acquisition agreements has generally become increasingly complex and is particularly acute in the oil and gas sector. We also handle several large and complex cases/disputes regarding company tax, petroleum tax, tonnage tax and VAT. 

Several of our lawyers are Admitted to the Supreme Court of Norway. We have acted as co-defence counsel in the Norway’s largest tax dispute ever and in 2014 we were nominated by International Tax Review as “European Tax Disputes Firm of the year”.
