We are honoured to announce that the International Trademark Association (INTA) has appointed Davidson Oturu as the Chair of the Legislation and Regulation Sub-committee for Middle East, Africa and South-East Asia (MEASA) for the 2020-2021 term.

The Legislation and Regulation Committee, with several members from different jurisdictions in the world, develops and advocates INTA’s model laws and seeks collaboration with the aim of having modern laws that can protect the IP rights of businesses globally.  The Committee monitors developments in treaties, legislation, regulations and other legislative mechanisms in various jurisdictions, propose policy recommendations to the Board and interacts with government agencies and parliaments.

Davidson is a partner in the firm’s dispute resolution, intellectual property and technology, media & telecommunications practice groups. He  regularly counsels and represents market-leading companies on the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights.
