Leading independent Isle of Man law firm, Cains, has continued to strengthen its Corporate practice with the appointments of Katherine Sheerin and Faye Devlin.

A prominent figure in the employment legal sector, Katherine recently re-joined Cains’ Employment team and brings with her over 15 years’ experience advising on a full range of contentious and non-contentious employment and data protection issues. She first joined Cains in 2001, advising on a broad range of corporate and employment matters until her departure in 2016, when she became dual qualified and spent a period working exclusively in the UK.

Katherine’s practice involves her supporting predominantly employer clients in the financial services, banking and insurance sectors as well as trading companies, charities and not for profit organisations. She covers all aspects of the employment lifecycle with a particular focus on senior executives, equality and diversity issues and business transfers/acquisitions.

In addition, Katherine specialises in data privacy and GDPR matters, having experience in auditing, training and compliance advisory work.

Also joining the Corporate team is Faye Devlin, who has taken up the position of corporate associate having spent three years with another Isle of Man law firm. Faye qualified as a Manx Advocate in 2019 and has experience of a broad range of matters including corporate and commercial law, conveyancing and private client work.

She is the Vice President of the Young Lawyer's Association and achieved a Distinction in her Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in Leeds.  Prior to that she completed a Graduate Diploma in Law at the University in Law at Chester, where she received a Distinction.
