ARZINGER won a labour dispute over the recovery of UAH 7.9 million in wage arrears
ARZINGER's litigation team has successfully defended the interests of a number of Ukraine's largest state-owned banks in a dispute against a former member of the management board. The case concerned the recovery of wage arrears, which, according to the defendant, arose due to the unlawful actions of the company's management.
As a result of the case, the court fully accepted the legal position developed for the employer and noted that the unlawfully accrued excessive wages are not payable due to violations of the labour laws of Ukraine.
This case is one of several interrelated cases with a total amount of claims exceeding UAH 35 million.
The case is being handled by a team consisting of managing associate Andrii Tyshchenko, senior associate Ivan Zalizniak, junior associate Yana Nesterenko, led by founding partner Sergii Shkliar.
