Inversiones Yarabamba (a subsidiary of Empresa Agroindustrial Cayalti) has obtained a 5 year Senior Secured Prepayment Finance Agreement, to continue its export operations and increase its harvests.
Empresa Agroindustrial Cayalti is a company listed in the Lima Stock Exchange.
The Lenders are Allianz EM Loans S.C.S. and Cordiant Agricultural Real Asset Debt. Two investment funds managed by Cordiant Capital Inc.
The loan is secured by off take production of Blueberry and Avocado and also a trust agreement incorporated under the laws of Peru involving real estate of the Borrower and Empresa Agroindustrial Cayalti.
“The transaction was challenging due to the fact that has been arranged as a Commodity Finance; which requires a close interaction between international and domestic legal advisors in order to carefully implement the security interest and off take contacts in favor of the collateral agent and initial off taker.”
