On April the 11th Chilean Lawyers Interstudy Golf Championship, “Teconolex Cup”, was held to benefit the Fundación Ganémosle a la Calle, a sports solidarity event organized by the Chilean law firm Morales & Besa.

The event, held at the Los Leones Golf Club, was attended by 84 lawyers from 35 of the most renowned law firms in Chile. This championship was also attended by representatives of Estudio Hernández & Cía. from Peru and Hunton Andrews Kurth from the United States.

As it has become a tradition, this championship has a charitable character and the proceeds from each edition are donated to a foundation. On this occasion, the funds went to the Fundación Ganémosle a la Calle, which aims to keep children and young people from vulnerable sectors away from the street and the risks associated with it, trying to develop their full potential through sports.

The executive director of Fundación Ganémosle a la Calle, Gracia Carvallo, valued the initiative, noting that “we are deeply grateful to Morales & Besa for giving us the opportunity to publicize the work we do with more than 1000 children who participate weekly in our workshops and to all the lawyers who participated in the championship and became members of our foundation. Thanks to this help we can continue giving opportunities to so many children and young people through sports”.

In this eleventh version of the Championship, the law firm Barros & Errázuriz was crowned champion through its lawyers Pablo Guerrero and Juan Ignacio Basagoitia, leaving in second place the law firm Ried Fabres who participated with Juan Carlos Reyes and Ricardo Abogabir. Third place was obtained by Barros & Errázuriz through José Tomás Errázuriz and Felipe Ríos.

The number of competitors has been even greater than in previous years and the atmosphere of camaraderie and friendship among the different participating law firms has been extraordinary in this edition. Being able to help a foundation like Ganémosle a la Calle, which does wonderful work through sports, to help children and young people from vulnerable sectors to have a healthy life and learn the values that sport provides, fills us with joy and motivates us to continue with this initiative,” says Morales & Besa partner Carlos Silva.

This version of the championship was sponsored by Tecnolex and Mercedes-Benz. It also counted with the collaboration of brands such as Torta Caluga, Lapostolle, Scalpers, Saville Row, Wild Foods, Hotel Las Majadas, Golf Chile, Cervecería Kross, Black Bubba, Froens, Hausbrandt, Extra Life, Carpintero Negro, Verde Musgo and Skechers.
