With more than 20 years of experience in insurance, liability and banking law in a wide range of matters, Clemens is one of the top experts in these areas in Austria. He combines his experience as a litigator with his knowledge of regulatory and contract law and approaches cases from all angles.

Clemens has acted as monitoring counsel for insurers, represented managers or policyholders in multi-billion euro liability and coverage cases, helped international insurers enter the Austrian market or structured insurance programs for public entities. He frequently works with major international law firms to advise the insurance side of cyber incidents or other complex matters with an insurance-related aspect.

He is an expert for the Austrian Chamber of Public Accountants and Tax Advisors, the training academy of the Austrian Bar Association, a lecturer at universities and the author of numerous publications that are regularly cited by the Austrian Supreme Court.
