Practice Areas
Chancery practice with emphasis on contentious trusts and probate, family provision, Court of Protection and matters involving art and cultural property. Recent experience: Watts v Watts [2014] EWHC 668 (Ch) (will forgery) and Dellal v Dellal [2015] EWHC 907 (Fam) (anti-avoidance in family provision claims). In the Court of Protection, Jordan appeared in Re M (N v O&P) [2013] WTLR 681, RE BM (JB v AG) [2014] All ER (D) 178 and Re E [2014] Med LR 417. He has particular expertise in cases involving art and cultural property, having appeared in Avrora Fine Arts Investment v Christie, Manson & Woods Ltd [2012] PNLR 35. Jordan acts for clients across the spectrum of the art world; dealers, galleries, collectors, institutions and governments. He has a notable offshore practice, particularly in the Channel Islands and continues to act in relation to long-running Jersey litigation relating to a substantial family charitable trust. He acts for the professional trustee in the Crociani litigation.
