Sawanee is Head of the Energy, Mining, & Infrastructure Industry Group and brings to the team more than 35 years of practice and extensive experience in project development, financing and acquisitions in the energy, mining, and infrastructure sectors in Thailand. With Baker McKenzie since 1983 and a partner since 1989, she has acquired in-depth knowledge advising on numerous large-scale, first-of-its-kind energy, petrochemical, and infrastructure projects in Thailand. She also gained experience working in the Sydney and Melbourne offices from 1988-1989. - She is the go-to partner for all complex energy projects, PPP and infrastructure project issues throughout the project life-cycle, and is especially known for her adept negotiating skills and dealing with government authorities. She is the architect of innovative structuring and the think-tank in dealing with complex projects and legal issues. - Her expertise and reputation in the market spans not only EMI Projects but also Banking & Finance and Capital Markets for her involvement on the development of PTT's ReAcc, the first blockchain-based one-stop service for renewable energy certificates and renewable purchases and the first renewable energy certificate trading platform in Thailand, the country's National Digital Trade Platform (NDTP), and her contributions to the Public Debt Management Office, Ministry of Finance (PDMO) towards the shaping of the Business Security Act.
