C&G’s New York office is the firm’s headquarters, with its lawyers practicing in areas including litigation & arbitration, white collar defense & regulation, corporate, tax, real estate, and IP, with a particular focus on M&A transactions, securities litigation, international arbitration, and regulatory and internal investigations. The New York team works closely with lawyers in the firm's overseas offices on cross-border transactions, litigation, and investigations, and regularly assist international clients doing business in the United States on a wide range of U.S. legal and regulatory matters. Firm co-founder Mark S. Cohen is the managing partner of the New York office.

C&G's Washington, DC office has advised clients on all aspects of U.S. antitrust law, including criminal antitrust investigations, civil litigation, compliance and regulatory matters in the federal agencies, and antitrust aspects of M&A transactions. The DC-based team also handles a wide range of commercial litigation, regulatory enforcement, and international trade matters. Melissa H. Maxman is the managing partner of the Washington, DC office.

Established in 2014, C&G’s Paris office provides comprehensive legal services to clients, including advising on corporate, employment, tax, financial services, white collar defense, and litigation-related matters. The firm's Paris attorneys work closely with the lawyers across the other offices on cross-border transactions, investigations, and litigation, in order to provide superior service to French and international clients. Partner Johannes Jonas is the managing partner of the office.

Opened in 2018, C&G’s London office provides legal services to clients around the world. The London team represents investment managers, financial institutions, global companies, family offices, and individuals in a variety of disciplines. On the transactional side, the team represents clients in all aspects of investing and investments, restructurings, and divestitures. The commercial litigation team also advises on a wide range of cross-border disputes, and is well-versed in funds, financial services, and insurance litigation in a number of jurisdictions, including offshore jurisdictions. The office's white collar defense and investigations team represents entities and individuals in complex economic crime, investigations, and regulatory matters. The London office works closely across practices with colleagues in New York and Paris, providing seamless support on sophisticated cross-border matters. Partner Daniel H. Mathias leads C&G's London office.

Commercial Litigation: 

C&G's U.S. Commercial Litigation practice group represents clients in a broad range of complex commercial, business, and financial disputes in districts throughout the United States and in the international arena. The group represents clients in lawsuits involving contract disputes, derivatives claims, breach of contract, shareholder disputes, fraud, tortious interference complaints, professional malpractice claims, unfair business practices, and private equity transactions. The firm's clients span multiple industries, including finance, software and technology, hospitality, and real estate.

Securities Litigation: 

C&G has extensive expertise in all aspects of securities, shareholder, and derivative litigation.The U.S. Securities Litigation team has a deep understanding of complex financial products and the operations of the financial services sector, and frequently represents broker-dealers, investment advisors, hedge funds, and private equity funds in securities litigation and FINRA arbitrations. The group has successfully represented clients in connection with the prosecution and defense of claims brought under the Securities Act of 1933, the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, the Investment Advisors Act of 1940, myriad SEC and FINRA regulations, and various state securities laws.

White Collar Defense and Regulation: 

The lawyers in C&G's White Collar Defense & Regulation group represent companies and individuals in connection with federal and state regulatory investigations, proceedings before self-regulatory organizations, internal investigations, andwhite collar criminal cases. Staffed by highly experienced former federal and state prosecutors and defense counsel, this group handles clients’ most sensitive and complex regulatory, investigative, and criminal defense matters.

The team has represented clients in many major investigations, defending institutions and senior executives in proceedings involving the Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the New York State Attorney General, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, and the Federal Reserve in the U.S., and before other authorities internationally in conjunction with C&G's overseas teams. The group has also handled major corporate internal investigations.

Antitrust & Competition: 

C&G's Antitrust & Competition team helps clients solve problems on the full range of issues related to competition law, including government investigations, cartel defense, private civil litigation on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants, and complicated merger clearance matters. The team's deep knowledge of the antitrust agencies allows them to guide clients through the most complex investigations and issues. The team also works seamlessly across offices and borders to help clients with multi-jurisdictional investigations.
