Alberto de la Parra

Alberto de la Parra focuses on project structuring, finance, and corporate and restructuring transactions in the infrastructure industry. Alberto has represented clients in various energy and oil and gas projects. In the transportation sector, Alberto has represented the Mexican government in the implementation of the financing plan for the construction of the new Mexico City Airport. Alberto’s experience includes the Mexican Airport network privatization, and subsequent representation of the resulting airport groups what have put him among the most experienced lawyers in Mexico in the airport and aeronautic industry. He was recently involved with the successful representation of financial institutions through project finance issues in complex transactions related to the securitization of assets and financing of rail company transactions and toll roads. Some of his achievements include the representation of financial institutions in the successful financing for Grupo Mexico Transportes for the Florida East Railroad acquisition, and representing Banco Santander through the complex financing and follow ups of a Cogeneration plant of 220 MW. Recently Alberto represented the Mexican development Banks in the structuring of a complex financing for Pemex refineries modernization. Also, he has represented Banco Santander for several years now in different structured financings in the infrastructure industry highlighting the financing for the Mitikah project. Alberto has also represented Grupo México in the acquisition of several real estate projects such as Planigrupo.
