Len’s practice focuses on real estate, immigration, intellectual property and corporate law.

Len moved to the Cayman Islands in 2008 after being admitted and practicing as an Attorney and Conveyancer in the High Court of South Africa in 2006 and as a Notary in 2008. His South African practice focused on real estate, with particular emphasis on commercial and residential development as well as private real estate matters. Part of his practice also included the review and registration of prospecting and mineral rights as well as the licensing, exportation and protection of human genetic materials.

Len was admitted as an Attorney-at-Law in the Cayman Islands in May 2015, and as a Cayman Islands Notary Public in 2018. He is particularly involved in trademark registrations, immigration matters, including residency applications, all areas of conveyancing practice, drafting and review of commercial and private contractual agreements, preparation of wills and probate matters, and company registrations and related business licensing.

In 2015 and 2016 Len was named as the Recommended Professional in Intellectual Property in the Cayman Islands by Global Law Experts and in 2015 he was awarded “Excellence in IP Law – Cayman Islands” by Corporate LiveWire’s 2015 Legal Awards.

His qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Public Law, which focused on stem cell research, and he was actively involved in the regulatory processes pertaining to the fields of genetics and the law.

Len also holds a number of certificates on intellectual property and IP management, mediation, Anti-Money Laundering and has completed the STEP Certificate in International Trust Management.
