Julian Garza Castañeda

His practice areas include banking and finance, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, telecoms and structured and project finance. He has advised on some of the largest structured finance and capital markets transactions, representing both sponsors and financial intermediaries. His most recent cases include securitisation deals related to infrastructure and financing projects, as well as local and cross-border issuances of securities, commercial financings and private equity funds. He also regularly handles regulatory and M&A transactions, including in the real estate, infrastructure, telecoms and financial intermediaries industries, and advising on foreign investment acquisitions and joint ventures.

Julián is a graduate of Universidad Panamericana (attorney at law, summa cum laude). He has a Master of Law degree from the University of Texas at Austin, where he obtained a fellowship award. He worked as foreign associate at Mayer Brown LLP in Chicago. He is a professor of financial law at Universidad Panamericana in Mexico City and has been a lecturer of Mexican Business and Commercial Law at the University of Texas in Austin.
