Ali is a partner in Freshfields’ dispute resolution practice in London. She has a wide-ranging practice based on managing both complex, large-scale litigation, as well as investigations in areas including fraud and bribery. Ali specialises in complex contractual disputes. This includes, in particular, disputes arising in a pre- and post- M&A context, as well as shareholder disputes arising (and following) from investigations and allegations of wrongdoing. In 2020, Ali advised on the landmark Covid-19 related contractual dispute in Travelport v WEX [2020] EWHC 2670, which is one of the leading English law cases on material adverse effect, and Ali has been since 2022 advising on one of the most significant group shareholder cases against a listed company currently in the English courts.
