Having previously led the litigation department, and been part of the executive management team, he has been continuously involved in the management of the firm at Board level, becoming Chairman in 2011 and Chief Executive in 2021.

In 2022 we joined Ampa - the UK’s leading group of legal and professional services companies. As a result of this merger, our clients now have access to more than 900 experts across the group. We have been providing legal advice to the people of Sussex for more than 150 years when Wynne Edwin Baxter founded the firm in Lewes. He is reported to have conducted more than 30,000 inquests and served as Her Majesty’s Coroner from 1886 in Sussex, Middlesex, East London and the Tower of London. He was most famous for the Jack the Ripper cases of 1888, and also investigated the deaths of Joseph Merrick, German spies, and First World War bombing fatalities.
