FIRM OVERVIEW:
The firm was founded by Damiano Lipani in 1996.
Initially, the firm carried out assignments in the sphere of commercial, corporate, IT and labor law as well as administrative law with regard to public services and supply tenders. In 1998, the firm was appointed to provide legal assistance and advice to a leading publicly owned company (Consip S.p.A., the “agent” for the management of the Italian General Accounts Office, which recruited a group of former EDS Italia S.p.A. executives to perform top management duties).
The firm’s turnover rose by about 150% between the 1999 and 2000 financial years, by just over 100% from 2001 to 2002. It was above all in these years that the firm first created and then consolidated its experience in a sector that was then practically unknown or at least unexplored, which could well be defined as “public commercial law”.
During the latest years the firm continued to increase constantly both in terms of earnings and number of professionals until the current size.
At the end of 2014, Antonio Catricalà joined the firm in quality of name partner. Antonio Catricalà is one of the most well-known Italian jurists and has been Secretary General of the Italian Communications Regulatory, Chief of the Cabinet of the Ministry of Communication, Deputy Minister for Economic Development with special responsibilities in the project of Digital Agenda and TMT market and Chairman of the Italian Competition and Antitrust Authority.
