Banwo&Ighodalo’s capital market, mergers and acquisition department (the “Department”) has been engaged in and advised on Global Depositary Receipt Offers, Initial and General Public Offers, Offers for Sale, Offers for Subscription, Rights Issues, Government Bonds, Debt/Loan Stock Issues and Private Placement transactions and other complex capital market transactions. The Department has also been actively involved in industry-wide recapitalizations and mergers in Nigeria. Clients can benefit from the Department’s extensive experience in equity/debt offerings, collective investment schemes, structured products, sovereign and sub-sovereign, derivatives and securitization.

In recognition of the Department’s wealth of experience, excellent service delivery and performance in capital markets, the Department was granted the award of “Capital Markets Team of the Year” at the ESQ Legal Awards in 2015 and 2016 and was also awarded “M&A Team of the Year” at the 2015 edition. For the fourth time consecutively, the Department received the prestigious award of ‘Debt Capital Market Solicitor’ in the FMDQ GOLD Awards 2021.
