Negotiate and interpret contracts, litigate cases involving construction defects, warranty issues, liens, bonds, financing and insurance issues.
Assists numerous employers in the state defending discrimination suits, retaliation claims and other actions under Wyoming and federal law.
Experience in arguing before the Wyoming Environmental Quality Council, the Wyoming Board of Control, the Wyoming Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, Wyoming state and federal district courts and the Wyoming Supreme Court on issues involving water quality, and oil and gas regulations and royalty issues.
Oil, Gas & Minerals:
Represent landowners regarding oil and gas leasing, royalty payment disputes, transfer of mineral ownership interests and coal leasing. Litigation regarding oil and gas production, surface use agreements and royalties unique to energy production.
Pursue personal injury claims, and defend them. Knowledgeable in various areas of tort law, comparative fault, and pursuing wrongful death actions on behalf of the beneficiaries of an estate.
Regularly work with land owners to resolve disputes regarding land ownership and use. Assist clients in buying and selling homes, businesses, ranches and rental property. Experience in title disputes, foreclosure and conservation easements.
State & Local Taxation:
Assist clients with tax audits and tax disputes.
Trusts & Estates:
Provide comprehensive estate planning, including drafting wills and trusts. Represent clients in litigation over probate and trust matters, such as will contests, disputes with creditors, and disputes among beneficiaries and trustees.
Regularly handle complex divorce cases, involving significant assets and business holdings, alimony, division of pension plans and retirement accounts, business valuation, and inheritance and trust issues.
