■Assisting HMD Global, the new home of Nokia phones and tablets, in concluding a complex IP licensing agreement, where the client acquired a global license to an operating system running on its globally sold feature phones

Dispute Resolution:

Lexia has a substantial and wide-ranging dispute resolution practice covering IP, competition and administrative law, professional negligence, product safety, and property/construction cases as well as general commercial and financial disputes.
■Assisting Nordic financial institution Gjensidige in a dispute against the City of Helsinki in a matter concerning the nature of a guarantee letter and validity of claims presented under the guarantee. The case was won as the action brought by the City of Helsinki was fully dismissed in the District Court of Helsinki
■Assisting Pharmacy of Walkiakoski in an administrative dispute against the Finnish Medicines Agency Fimea. The case is significant because it involves a complex question of interpretation of the Finnish Medicines Act that the parties are interpreting differently
■Representing movie production company Sputnik Oy in a dispute concerning alleged breach of the copyrights of the set decorator. The case was won as the action brought by plaintiff was fully dismissed by the Market Court
