Trust & Succession Disputes:
■ Represented the wife of the late chairman of Green Cross Corp. in the lawsuit filed to confirm the nullity of the will left by the late chairman concerning shares in Green Cross Corp. amounting to KRW 80 billion and prevailed by successfully persuading the court to render a ruling finding the will effective (Attorneys Sang Hoon KIM, Su Kyo KIM)
■ Representing Hana Bank, prevailed in the lawsuit filed to confirm the nullity of the living trust executed by Hana Bank as the trustee and successfully persuaded the court to render a ruling finding the trust effective. This case was the first case in Korea involving a living trust (Attorneys Sang Hoon KIM, Eung Kyo YI)
■ With regard to property amounting to KRW 30 billion in Korea left by the deceased father of Korean descent but a U.S. citizen, represented the child of the deceased, having U.S. citizenship, against the other child of the deceased, holding Korean citizenship, in the case filed between the two children for division of inherited property and return of legal portion of inheritance, and prevailed. All post-judgment matters, including registration of real estate, payment of inheritance tax, and overseas remittance of financial assets, were carried out seamlessly (Attorneys Sang Hoon KIM, Woong Kyu CHO)
■ In a lawsuit filed to confirm the nullity of the will left by the late chairman of the New Hilltop Hotel concerning management right and ownership of the hotel, represented the wife and the second son of the deceased chairman and prevailed by successfully persuading Seoul Central District Court to render a ruling finding the will null and void (Attorneys Sang Hoon KIM, Eung Kyo YI)
■ Successfully represented the eldest son in an inheritance-related lawsuit that was filed for the return of the legal portion of inheritance from the property left by the deceased owner of a publishing company in Gwangju who bestowed to the eldest son more than KRW 10 billion. ■ Successfully represented the interests of a US citizen in connection with his rights to a portion of the substantial assets of the SS Park Estate. Handled all advocacy related issues and coordination with the Korean family members and their representatives as well as all issues related to monetizing certain assets and remitting recoveries to the US (Attorneys Tom Pinansky, Wonsik YOON and Rieu KIM)

Estate Planning:
