Competition & EU:
contrast has one of the largest and most experienced independent competition & EU law teams in Brussels.
The competition & EU practice includes: restrictive practices, horizontal co-operation agreements, cartel investigations, assistance during dawn-raids, abuse of dominant position, merger control, state aid, compliance programs and trainings, competition and EU litigation including representation of EU Commission and private clients before the EU Courts, EU internal market and customs law.

Corporate & Business Law:
contrast has a team of experienced corporate and business lawyers, advising and representing domestic and international companies, private and publicly-held, in all aspects of their business dealings.
The corporate and M&A practice includes: national and international mergers and acquisitions, corporate law, business and finance, joint ventures, private equity, venture capital, buyouts, shareholders’ agreements, corporate restructurings, due diligence, corporate governance, director and auditor liability, unincorporated and uncommon company types and accounting law.

Privacy & Data Protection:
contrast has a team of experienced lawyers, advising companies on all privacy and data protection matters, including: audits and data mapping, setting-up and implementing privacy and data protection compliance systems and trainings, notifications of processing activities to the data protection authority, data transfer agreements, company whistle blowing hotlines, direct marketing and consumer protection legislation, data subject access and other rights, screening of job applicants and employee monitoring of internet, email and telephone usage.

Conflict Management:
contrast provides advice intended to prevent disputes and avoid litigation. In case litigation is unavoidable, contrast has experienced litigators who represent clients in court and in arbitral proceedings. Several team members have national and international arbitration experience, whether it be by representing clients in institutional or ad hoc arbitrations or by acting as arbitrators.
The conflict management practice includes: commercial litigation, corporate and post-acquisition litigation, antitrust litigation, mediation, arbitration, amicable settlements.
