Asset Recovery, Civil Fraud & Confiscation: 5 St Andrew’s Hill is a set of leading London asset forfeiture and confiscation barristers. Barristers act for both applicants and respondents, and have appeared in many of the leading cases in this fast developing and increasingly important area.

Business Crime: Barristers at 5 St Andrew’s Hill regularly accepts instructions to act in complex and serious fraud litigation on behalf of the prosecution and defence. The team has a number of individuals on the SFO Panel.
The team’s expertise includes defending in the Libor trials two (ICAP) and three (Barclays), FCA investigations, Excise duty fraud, VAT fraud, Missing Trader Intra-Community (MTIC) fraud, tax credit fraud, insurance fraud, mortgage fraud, charities fraud, corruption, bribery and other high level financial crime. Members of the team also frequently appear at the VAT tribunal. Barristers advise and appear for clients both in the UK and overseas.

Civil Litigation: Barristers of 5 St Andrew’s Hill cover all the principal areas of chancery litigation. The team act in cases involving wills and probate, Inheritance Act claims, trusts, co-ownership, boundary and neighbour disputes, easements and restrictive covenants. The team also deal with and specialise in areas of modern commercial Chancery and company law with a particular emphasis on insolvency and restructuring, banking law and civil fraud.
