Ben is a Barrister specialising in Extradition, Immigration, Serious Fraud, Crime, Human Rights and Public Law including the challenge of INTERPOL Red Notices. He leads the 5SAH extradition team. He has significant experience of Judicial Review and is appointed to the Attorney General's B Panel of advocates. He has a developed expertise in political corruption cases and in particular requests from former soviet states especially: Russia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Moldova. He also has significant experience in cross border cases. In Immigration cases he represents the Home Office on a broad spectrum of cases, from unlawful detention to challenges to the Dublin III framework, and represents applicants in politically sensitive asylum cases. Ben has considerable experience of EAW cases including cases of murder, rape, people trafficking, terrorism and complex fraud. Ben has a busy Appellate practice and has appeared for the Appellants in a number of leading authorities in the Divisional Court. He presently represents clients in extradition proceedings from Turkey, UAE, USA, Canada, Nigeria and India as well as Russia and Ukraine and the full spectrum of European jurisdictions. He also represents clients in domestic criminal matters for a full range of alleged offences, including allegations of murder, rape and drug trafficking.
