Head of Skadden’s Energy Regulation and Litigation Group. Focuses on complex FERC enforcement, litigation and appellate matters, often involving organized power markets. Has defended many of the now-public FERC market manipulation cases, including Barclays Bank, Dr. Alen Chen, JP Morgan Ventures Energy, DB Energy Trading, Rumford Paper, Energy Transfer Partners, and HQ Energy. Has played a lead role in major FERC trials, including the “New England LICAP Case,” the “California Refund Case,” and the “California Long-Term Contract Case.” Has argued 26 cases in the U.S. courts of appeals.
