Work Highlights:
■ EQUITY represented clients in the international arbitration under the CIETAC and SCC Rules.
■ EQUITY advised and represented clients in court proceedings related to the arbitral awards issued under the Rules of the Dispute Resolution Institute of the Oslo Chamber of Commerce, Court of Arbitration at the Polish Chamber of Commerce in Warsaw, LCIA and UNCITRAL Rules. We also advised on potential investor-State arbitration.
■ EQUITY provided legal advice to 2 out of 4 Ukrainian banks ever, which have succeeded in having the insolvency proceedings against them cancelled. The team advised on the regulatory framework for the continued operations of these banks.
■ EQUITY also developed a strong practice of advising on non-performing loans (NPLs) portfolios and distressed assets under the supervision of Serhiy Chuyev. He is proud to count among his clients the largest finance companies in Ukraine, including LLC “Finance Company”, LLC “EXPERT INVEST”, LLC “Finance Company “Helios”.
■ EQUITY also assisted their clients in large-scale debt restructuring, namely for Azovmash Group (the largest engineering and manufacturing enterprise of Ukraine).
■ EQUITY acted for the clients in the landmark cases in the Supreme Court of Ukraine. In particular, the team set new precedents in the case law on declaring the insolvency proceedings against the banks as unlawful.
