The China (International Firms) Corporate M&A section is a wide-ranging category and covers both public and private company transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, investments and joint ventures, capitalisations, entity formation, operating and partnership agreements and corporate governance matters.
With this section, priority is placed on primary representatives, those acting for buyers, sellers and joint venture partners, whilst those acting for financial advisers, underwriters and other transactional advisors are also considered.
In this section, the rankings are split into two separate lists for Elite and Highly Regarded practices, based on the significance and scale of the work they handle. The lawyer rankings are also split into two lists, Hong Kong-based and China-based, depending on the individual’s location. An additional Hong Kong firms table is included, in which independent firms operating in Hong Kong feature.
Within the China (International Firms) chapter, a separate Private Equity: Buyouts and Venture Capital Investments section takes into account the transactional aspect of private equity funds work – including LBO, M&A, recapitalisation matters and also venture capital investment work.
