Career

Sylvie Vansteenkiste has over 30 years of experience in tax and is one of the single most experienced tax practitioners in France. Sylvie has led work on high-level tax structuring for investment funds for two decades and advises private equity houses on acquisition tax structuring and the implementation of incentive plans for management teams.

Sylvie has also an extensive experience in tax audits and litigation as well as she has been worked for eight years in the Direction des Vérifications Nationales et Internationales in the French tax administration.

Sylvie's clients are mainly leading private equity houses and she has built a very strong reputation in this industry. She is an active member of the Tax Committee of of the French association France Invest drafting of legislation recommendations on FPCIs, SCRs and SLPs and the carried interest legal statutory regime.
