Susan Mead represents clients in the areas of zoning, planning, and entitlements law, including implementation of tax increment financing districts and other economic development incentives. Her practice includes representation before city councils, city planning commissions, boards of adjustment, urban renewal boards, review boards and landmark committees throughout the nation. She has been named 'Lawyer of the Year' (2015) by Best Lawyers in America and one of D Magazine's 'Best Lawyers in Dallas' for multiple years. She is a former member of the Urban Land Institute and a Board Member and Chair of many non-profits over many years.
Susan is involved in the real estate and land use community as a member of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, an honorary member of the American Institute of Architects, Past Chair of the Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce, and holds membership with the Dallas Coalition for the Arts, and the Downtown Dallas Association. She is a past member of the Board of Directors for the Dallas Museum of Art, Executive Committee for the Dallas Theater Center, the Dallas Arboretum, the Downtown Partnership, Inc., and the Architectural Forum, Inc.
