Steven practices in London and Gibraltar. He engages in complex contentious and non-contentious corporate and commercial matters, with a particular expertise on insolvency, restructuring and regulatory mandates. He is the only lawyer in Gibraltar engaging in high-value contentious and transactional work that holds an unrestricted Insolvency Practitioner’s licence, allowing him to act as liquidator, receiver or administrator, providing invaluable insight into, inter alia, the enforcement of security packages when appointing officeholders.
If instructions involve cross border insolvency or general commercial law, Steven is well placed in advising clients on matters of jurisdiction and/or enforceability of judgments, advising on strategic litigious matters, such as pursuing anti-suit injunctions to refrain proceedings commenced in a foreign jurisdiction.
Given his diverse capabilities in litigious and transactional work, Steven engages on a wide range of corporate commercial and banking mandates, ranging from drafting security documents (e.g. Debentures, Mortgages, etc), engaging on mergers and acquisitions, and guiding clients through any corporate task. Steven is widely known for his expertise in financial services field, defending and/or claiming against regulated entities, from banks to Insurers.
