Sonja Maeder Morvant is a partner with Reiser Avocats, in which she heads the white-collar crime and investigation practice. She specializes in white collar crime, mutual judicial assistance matters, corporate investigations, compliance matters, asset tracing, the law of armed conflicts and general commercial litigation. She acts as counsel for individuals, corporate entities and States, notably in complex multi-jurisdictional proceedings.
Career
Prior to co-founding Reiser Avocats, she practised at the Geneva Bar at various prestigious law firms for many years. She also worked as a judicial assistant at the Office of the Attorney general, which enables her to assess her criminal cases from the perspective of public authorities.
She has been a guest lecturer in economic criminal law as part of the Executive MBA program of the University of Geneva for many years.
She holds a law degree from the University of Geneva and Bern and an LL.M in Humanitarian law from the University of Geneva. She speaks French, English, German and Italian.
