Practice Areas

All aspects of the law as it relates to children: Public Law: Care and adoption. Represents Local Authorities; parents; guardians; competent children.

Has expertise in cases arising from risk of radicalisation to terrorism. Also a particular interest in cases involving: death and serious non-accidental injury; complex and controversial medical evidence including fabricated illness; mental health issues.

Instructed in multi-party intergenerational sexual abuse cases requiring cross examination of vulnerable witnesses.

Significant experience of cases attracting media interest and requiring reporting restrictions.

Private Law: Instructed in applications for declarations of parentage and cases arising out of modern family arrangements. Acts in disputes –including allegations of serious harm- between parents and other significant adults in respect of children. Applications in relation to living arrangements for children including domestic and international relocation issues.
