Practice Areas
Roberta Horton is a partner in the firm's IP group. She focuses her practice on trademark, domain name, and copyright law. Ms. Horton handled one of the first cases challenging domain name infringers, and assisted in writing the statute protecting trademark owners against domain name infringers. She litigates before the federal courts and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and has published widely on various IP issues. Ms. Horton has represented clients in many industries including: hospitality; sports; food; telecommunications; and healthcare. Her recent work includes advising several high profile women’s rights organizations, including Sheryl Sandberg’s organization Lean In, the anti-sexual harassment and gender equity services group Time’s Up, and the National Women’s Law Center. She also represents numerous nonprofits, including National Parks Conservation Association and Reading Is Fundamental, the nation's largest children's literacy organization.
