Career
Rebecca Brommel regularly assists health care providers, including nursing homes and continuing care communities, pharmacies and pharmacists, doctors, dentists, nurses and other professionals, with professional licensing board matters and regulatory citations. These matters often involve negotiating with government agencies, including the applicable licensing boards, the Department of Inspections and Appeals, the Department of Human Services and the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS), among others. Becki also handles a significant number of judicial review proceedings arising out of healthcare regulatory matters, including, but not limited to Certificate of Need decisions.
Becki assists providers with commercial or payment disputes with insurers, including managed care organizations, contractors and patients. She has significant experience in assisting nursing facilities with collection efforts, including assessing options for resident Medicaid coverage, pursuing involuntary discharges and filing lawsuits to collect past due amounts. Becki has handled non-compete and non-solicitation litigation for all types of businesses, including requests for injunctive relief. Becki also has experience in litigating commercial and contract disputes for all types of businesses.
