Career
With a career spanning nearly 30 years, Randolf Castellanos is recognized as a leading authority on labor law in Guatemala. He regularly advises domestic and foreign companies, as well as government institutions, on complex labor law and employment litigation matters.
Castellanos regularly speaks at government sessions and represents the country at international labor law events. He was the representative at the first Spanish-American Forum on Labor Law and was a rapporteur at the IX Central American and Caribbean Congress on Labor and Social Security. He was a reviewer for the proposed Civil Service Law Bill for the judicial branch. In 1995 and 1996, he was appointed auditor for the elections process by the Supreme Electoral Tribunal.
Castellanos is a professor and thesis advisor at Rafael Landivar University. He also serves as a thesis advisor at the University of the Istmo and the Dean of the Professional Section at the Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala. He has been a guest panelist on television programs, such as Our World in the Morning and Faces and Voices, and radio programs, such as Labor Focus on Radio Universidad.
