Practice Areas
Peter has built his career helping organisations to exploit their intellectual property, whether in the form of brand, information, or research. Bringing together expertise from across the firm, Peter now takes the lead on major strategic or organisational change projects for clients that count IP as central to their business.
At the heart of Peter’s practice is his focus on helping clients enhance, protect and commercially exploit intellectual property – be that a brand, original content, research, data or knowledge resources – as effectively as possible.
Peter’s professional career spans nearly 30 years in which he has developed a formidable reputation for his expertise in copyright, information law and trade marks, and how intellectual property is protected and used, whether in a commercial context or to further non-commercial aims.
He has developed specialist knowledge within a number of sectors: he is particularly well known for his work with high profile clients in the worlds of media and publishing, culture and higher education. His practice is not limited to these sectors however, and he is often called upon to advise in other industries in which intellectual property plays a vital role, for example in sports, luxury brands and the games industry.
