Peter is a Paris-based partner in Freshfields' international arbitration group. Having appeared as Counsel and sat as arbitrator in over 150 proceedings under both ad hoc and institutional rules, Peter specialises in investor-state arbitration and has advised or represented clients across sectors as diverse as telecommunications, investment banking, infrastructure, and agro-industry. Peter was appointed Queen's Counsel in 2015.
Several articles on arbitration and investment treaty. Co-author of 'A Guide to the LCIA Arbitration Rules' (OUP, 2009).
Cambridge University graduate. Peter teaches international arbitration at Sciences Po in Paris. He speaks English, French and German.
