Career
Peter Kang is an IP trial lawyer and global Co-Chair for the firm’s Korea practice. His most recent trial victory was a complete defense verdict as lead counsel in a patent jury trial in California, including a post-trial fees award of $4.6 million for his client. In addition to trials in district courts and the International Trade Commission, Peter represents clients before the Patent Trial & Appeal Board, including a victory in the first ever IPR to reach final judgment. He handles appeals to the Federal Circuit and appears in courts nationwide, as well as in international arbitrations and mediations involving IP, licensing, or technology disputes. Peter also represents clients in trade secret matters, as well as high-tech antitrust, commercial litigation, and copyright/trademark suits. He negotiates for clients in high-stakes IP licensing/acquisition deals and technology transactions.
