DR. PAUL KALB brings an uncommon clinical perspective, grounded in his experience as an attending physician at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, to bear in his work for a wide range of healthcare clients. He has successfully represented many of the world’s leading drug, biotech and device manufacturers as well as hospitals and other providers in criminal, civil and administrative enforcement actions involving healthcare fraud and abuse and off-label promotion. Many of his cases have involved complex clinical and scientific issues. He has negotiated ground-breaking settlement agreements and Corporate Integrity Agreements.

Paul served on Sidley’s Executive Committee from 2007–2022 and, in that capacity, helped lead the firm’s strategic planning process. He co-founded Sidley’s Global Life Sciences practice, served as Global Practice Leader for the firm’s Healthcare and FDA Group from 2018–2022, and headed the firm’s Health Care Group from 2004–2018. He currently coordinates the firm’s healthcare and life sciences transactional initiatives.
