Experience
Patricia is a partner in the Regina office with experience in every aspect of buying, selling, financing and operating businesses in a wide variety of industries, but with particular emphasis in agricultural industries, energy development, and the entertainment industry.
Patricia is an experienced commercial and corporate lawyer and is the lead for the Firm’s corporate department. She has a broad range of experience in every aspect of buying, selling, financing and operating businesses in a wide variety of industries, but with particular emphasis in agricultural industries, energy development, and entertainment. Her experience also includes advising on corporate governance matters, securities and equity financing, commercial and residential real estate transactions, and film and television development, financing and production. She is proud to provide strategic, practical and trusted advice to businesses of every size.
Patricia studied pre-law at the Brandon University and received her Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Manitoba in 1982. She was called to the Saskatchewan Bar in 1983. She was honoured with a Queen’s Counsel appointment in 2010.
Patricia is currently vice-chair of the RCMP Heritage Centre and vice-chair and member of the board of directors of the Buffalo Pound Water Treatment Corporation. She is a past member of the board of directors of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, a former public board member appointed by order in council of the Saskatchewan Applied Science Technologists and Technicians (SASTT). She is also a former Chair of the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce, a former director and trustee of the board of the National Film Board of Canada, past board member of Creative Saskatchewan, past board member and Vice-Chair of the Regina Airport Authority and past board member of Inclusion Regina. In 2011, Patricia was recognized as a Woman of Influence in Saskatchewan for her contributions as a professional in her community.
Patricia was recently honoured by being appointed Honorary Consul by the Embassy of Iceland in Regina, with jurisdiction over the Province of Saskatchewan. In 2022, Patricia was honoured by receiving the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal (Saskatchewan), recognizing her contributions to our country, our province, and our communities.
Patricia was selected as the 2023 Community Service Award recipient by CBA Saskatchewan. Patricia was chosen for her service to her community throughout her career including contributions to numerous Boards and volunteering countless hours for community and non-profit organizations.
Patricia also provides leadership as an engaged partner in the Regina office. She currently serves on the Firm’s Strategic Planning, Practice, and Marketing Committees. As well, she is the chair of the Firm’s Corporate/Commercial Practice Group.
