Nicolai's primary field of expertise is patent, trademark and other IP litigation. He also advises on technology transfer, licensing, R&D and similar agreements.

Nicolai represents Danish and international clients within all industries, with particular focus on life science and healthcare. He has conducted a large number of high-profile patent and trademark cases before Denmark's highest courts as well as Danish and international arbitration tribunals.

Career

Nicolai became a partner in 2000.

Professional Memberships

President of the Danish Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights and President of the Danish AIPPI Group. Member EPLAW, LES, AIPLA, INTA etc.

Publications

Nicolai co-authored the "Annotated Danish Patents Act" (2012, 2nd ed. 2018), "Concise European Trade Mark Law" (2018), "The Unitary Patent Court" (2015), and "Patent Protection for Second Medical Uses" (2016).
