Navin Thevar is a Director at Davinder Singh Chambers LLC.

His practice is primarily in the field of financial and economic crime. He also advises clients in relation to investigations by regulatory authorities and handles contentious civil and commercial matters, and he has acted for multi-national corporations, public-listed entities, and their key executives in Singapore.

Before joining private practice in 2014, Navin was a Deputy Public Prosecutor in the Economic Crimes and Governance Division of the Attorney-General’s Chambers of Singapore. He has also represented the Attorney-General’s Chambers of Brunei in a number of complex criminal trials and appeals in Brunei as prosecution counsel.

Navin graduated from the National University of Singapore with an LLB (Hons) degree in 2009. In the same year, he was a finalist in the Jean-Pictet International Humanitarian Law Moot Competition. In 2008, he won the Alexander Stone Scottish national moots while on exchange at the University of Glasgow. In 2005, Navin won the Peter English Memorial Prize for the top-performing student in the Criminal Law Course at the National University of Singapore.

He has also been consistently ranked as a “Future Leader” in Commercial Litigation by Who’s Who Legal every year since 2019.
