Muiris is ranked as one of the leading claimant clinical negligence lawyers in the country. He specialises in catastrophic spinal, brain and birth injury, and fatal claims arising out of clinical negligence. He has a wealth of experience in dealing with claims against medical professionals both within the NHS and private medicine.
Career
Muiris qualified in 1991 and joined Stewarts as a partner in 2008. He has a Master of Laws (LL.M) with distinction in Advanced Litigation from Nottingham Trent University.
Professional Memberships
Past-president of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL), one of only nine lawyers to be awarded APIL's prestigious Senior Fellowship in recognition of his "outstanding contribution" campaigning for the rights of injured people
Publications
Muiris has written extensively for the legal media. He was General Editor of the Journal of Personal Injury Law (JPIL) for 14 years. He has also contributed to Kemp & Kemp on Quantum of Damages and the leading textbook, Jones on Medical Negligence (4th edition).
