Muiris is ranked as one of the leading claimant clinical negligence lawyers in the country. He specialises in catastrophic spinal, brain and birth injury, and fatal claims arising out of clinical negligence. He has a wealth of experience in dealing with claims against medical professionals both within the NHS and private medicine.
He has been involved in cases in the High Court, Court of Appeal, House of Lords and the European Court of Human Rights. He has taken a lead role in a number of high-profile cases involving right to life and right to die issues as well IVF-related litigation and human rights.
Muiris qualified in 1991 and joined Stewarts as a partner in 2008.

Muiris has written extensively for the legal media. He was General Editor of the Journal of Personal Injury Law (JPIL) for 14 years. He has also contributed to Kemp & Kemp on Quantum of Damages and the leading textbook, Jones on Medical Negligence (4th edition).
