Peggy Adams has been a business lawyer for over 38 years. Her practice includes real estate, finance, general business, probate, and estate planning. She represents real estate developers, lenders, and business owners in asset acquisitions and in acquisition, construction, and financing of commercial office buildings, residential subdivisions, shopping centers, industrial facilities, and residential developments. She counsels clients in preparing leases, restructuring partnerships, real estate sales, and reviewing title and issuance of title policies. Peggy advises clients with respect to wills, trusts, and estate planning, including disposition of closely held businesses, taxation of estates, and other estate planning matters. Additionally, she handles probate matters and represents trustees and corporate fiduciaries.
Peggy is a member of the council of the Louisiana Law Institute (currently serving on its Successions and Donations Committee, Property Committee and Trust Code Committee). She is named in Best Lawyers in America, New Orleans Magazine’s Top Lawyers, and Super Lawyers (top 50 in Louisiana and top 25 female lawyers in Louisiana). Peggy serves on the Board of Trustees of Loyola University New Orleans, is a member of the Archdiocese of New Orleans Finance Council and is a Past President of Audubon Riverside Neighborhood Association.
