eonard Gilbert practices in the areas of banking, commercial finance, asset based lending, creditors' rights, insolvency, mediation and commercial litigation, as well as maintaining an active transactional practice. Mr. Gilbert’s emphasis has been in the representation of financial institutions and other institutional lenders. In his bankruptcy practice, Mr. Gilbert has represented numerous state, national and international banks and other financial institutions and public bodies, secured and unsecured creditors' committees and equity. He served as past president of The Florida Bar, past co-chair of the Insolvency Section of the IBA, adjunct Member of the ABA Standing Committee on the Federal Judiciary and member of International Insolvency Institute from which he received the Founder’s Award in 2017. In 2011, he received the American College of Bankruptcy's Distinguished Service Award.
