Practice group leader of the North Florida Litigation Group and a co-leader of the Transportation & Infrastructure Industry Service Group. Mr. Hamilton has for many years counseled and advised transportation clients on a wide range of business issues, disputes and strategies. Mr. Hamilton is an experienced trial lawyer with extensive experience handling complex commercial lawsuits and disputes, with an emphasis in defending class actions. He represents private as well as publicly traded nationwide providers of motor, rail, logistics and intermodal transportation services on litigation and business matters. As a trial lawyer, Mr. Hamilton has first chair experience handling complex class actions, commercial lawsuits, and arbitrations. He has represented transportation companies in multiple jurisdictions with disputes involving contracts, regulatory issues and antitrust claims. Mr. Hamilton has substantial experience advising and assisting transportation clients with misclassification issues, non-compete and trade secret disputes, and disputes arising under a wide variety of transportation contracts, including disputes with agents and shippers. Mr. Hamilton has also been entrusted by clients to defend significant class action cases alleging violations of various federal and state statutes and laws, including the Truth-in-Leasing Act. 49 CFR Part 376.
