Larry Lasoff has more than three decades of experience helping a broad spectrum of clients navigate the complex regulatory hurdles of international trade and customs. He is also involved in managing the government relations and public policy challenges faced by U.S. companies and industry trade associations.
Notably, Larry offers a comprehensive understanding of the steel, high-performance materials, manufacturing and luxury apparel industries. As co-chair of the firm’s Animal Law practice, Larry is one of the few lawyers in the country with specialized experience in animal law–related issues and an understanding of how these issues impact various businesses.
In the regulatory arena, Larry represents U.S. importers in customs administrative and enforcement proceedings, and U.S. firms seeking export licenses for complex international projects in the nuclear, space and aerospace sectors. Moreover, Larry counsels U.S. and foreign companies seeking to bring their internal import/export systems into compliance with U.S. customs and export control regulations, as well as U.S. companies seeking to improve their access to foreign markets. Larry also advises coalitions of U.S. manufacturers seeking to protect U.S. markets from unfair import competition.
