Kevin has over 35 years' experience as a commercial litigator having represented clients from a wide variety of industry sectors in contractual and intellectual property disputes. He has often handled cases with an international element. He is well known for his media law practice and has extensive experience of defamation, privacy, copyright and data protection issues. Kevin has acted for a large number of national newspapers, book and magazine publishers over many years, including the Mirror Group, Penguin Books, Random House, HarperCollins and Private Eye. He also has experience of copyright disputes and proceedings before the Copyright Tribunal. Kevin has been involved in many significant and high profile cases on behalf of publishers, broadcasters and individuals.
Kevin trained at niche entertainment firm Wright Webb Syrett and became a partner at the firm in 1983. He led the merger of that firm with Davenport Lyons in 1995. Kevin was an equity partner at Davenport Lyons before moving to Gordon Dadds as a consultant in April 2014. Kevin joined Archerfield Partners LLP, as a consultant, in June 2015.
