Keith is qualified as a solicitor and chartered quantity surveyor. He is accredited as a specialist in construction law by the Law Society of Scotland and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. His practice area is contentious construction law, with a particular focus on dispute resolution, having practised international arbitration in Dubai for several years and sitting as an adjudicator in the UK. He regularly appears before mediators, adjudicators and courts. He advises public and private clients operating in building, engineering, infrastructure and energy sectors.
From his background as a chartered quantity surveyor, Keith has practical experience of the management, administration and interpretation of standard form and bespoke contracts. In addition, he has detailed knowledge of the management and administration of claims for payment, valuation and delay from initial preparation, through negotiation to third party determination or settlement.
